Throw the rankings, seeds, previous results and any preconceived notions out the window. It's time for the Iowa high school football playoffs.

Classes 5A, 4A and 3A still have one more week of the regular season, but Classes 2A, 1A, A and 8-player had their regular season come to an end on Oct. 17. The IHSAA has released playoff matchups for each of those classes, with 32 teams in each field.

Below are the matchups in next week's postseason action. Teams are matched up based upon their finish in district play, with Classes 2A, 1A and A having the district champion, district runner-up, district third-place team and the district fourth-place team qualify for the playoffs.
