A Kitchener killer released into the community Thursday was arrested the next day for breaching the conditions of his release order.
Kevin Koehler, 60, convicted of a Kitchener manslaughter in 2013, was released Thursday after completing his sentence and had taken up residence in Kitchener.
Waterloo Regional Police issued a public advisory regarding Koehler’s release, saying he had an extensive criminal history of violent offence convictions, including criminal negligence causing death, assault with weapon, assault, and assaulting police.
Police said the terms of Koehler release included immediately notifying them of any change in address and making no attempt to contact, directly or indirectly, any past victims, family members of the victims or witnesses in the cases in which he was co
