Speculation that In-N-Out Burger will build a new restaurant in Hermitage got amped up as the company has closed on property at 4000 Andrew Jackson Parkway.

California-based In-N-Out bought the roughly 1.95-acre tract near the corner of Old Hickory Boulevard for about $3.2 million, based on documents filed with the Davidson County Register of Deeds office.

The buyer is listed as In-N-Out Burgers with an address of 13502 Hamburger Lane, in Baldwin Park, California, also the address of an In-N-Out distribution center.

Stormwater permitting records for the site had already been submitted on behalf of In-N-Out for the Andrew Jackson Parkway property.
