The first stage of a massive development plan to transform Alkimos Central into a bustling town centre can now proceed after the State Government struck a landmark land deal with real estate group Centuria Capital.
Located just 100m from Alkimos station, which opened in July 2024, Centuria will develop a 2.4ha site into a retail and services precinct worth $33 million.
Residents can expect a contemporary supermarket, childcare centre, medical and allied health services, and a mix of convenience, specialty and hospitality stores to be built as part of this first stage of development.
The precinct is also just 150m from the Alkimos Aquatic and Recreation Centre, which is currently under construction.
