It follows an incident at a Spar store on Grove Road in Ballymena on Friday evening.

The 71-year-old woman was subsequently arrested on suspicion of drink driving and dangerous driving.

Footage from the scene shows the car appearing to crash into the front of the building, scattering items that were on display.

One customer was taken to hospital.

Police investigating the single-vehicle road traffic collision have now confirmed the 71-year-old faces charges of driving with excess alcohol in breath and dangerous driving.

She is due to appear before Ballymena Magistrates' Court on Thursday 13 November.

As is usual procedure, the charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
