Diwali celebrations have already begun, but firecrackers are banned in Delhi-NCR. The Supreme Court has allowed the use of only green crackers during the festival. Apart from Delhi-NCR, the ban also applies to several districts in Uttar Pradesh, including Meerut and Noida. Because pollution and breathing problems are increasing in the state, a strict decision has been made. Firecrackers are banned in eight districts.

Everyone must follow these rules. Those who break them may have to pay a fine of up to one lakh rupees or go to jail for up to five years. Action will also be taken against shops that sell firecrackers. The fire department will keep a close watch.
