Gallatin High’s football team scored 49 unanswered points to break an early tie with Belgrade on Friday, eventually claiming a 56-7 road victory over the Panthers.

The Raptors improved to 6-1 overall and 4-1 in the Eastern AA, bouncing back from their only loss of the season last week at Billings West. Belgrade dropped to 1-5 overall and 1-4 in the conference.

The teams were tied 7-7 following a Gallatin touchdown run of 15 yards by Carter Dahlke and Belgrade’s score on a fake punt. Noah Shugart carried 52 yards for the score. Dahlke scored on another 15-yard run later in the first quarter, making the score 14-7 after 12 minutes.

Dahlke added two more touchdowns in the second quarter, first on a run of 11 yards and later on a pass of 45 yards from quarterback Samuel Litzen. Those scores
