The Tennessee Titans have released former Pittsburgh Steelers kicker Matthew Wright, the team announced. He was on their practice squad for the last week before being released on Friday.
He has kicked in one game this season for the Titans a week ago, going 1 for 1 and perfect on extra points. A season ago, he kicked in five games across three different teams, including two games with the Titans.
Wright has stuck around the NFL for years as a mercenary kicker but is trying to find his long-term spot. He hopes that Tennessee can become that for him.
