PHOENIX — Arizonans protesting the country’s trajectory under President Donald Trump were expected to gather throughout Saturday around the Valley as part of “No Kings” demonstrations.
A Tempe “No Kings” march started in Cole Park at 8 a.m. and Tempe Rising Indivisible — the event organizer — told KTAR News 92.3 FM that more than 5,000 people showed up.
Demonstrations were also planned at the following locations: • The Arizona State Capitol • Glendale, at the intersection of 51st Avenue and Bell Road • Queen Creek, at the intersection of Gantzel and Combs roads • Maricopa, at the corner of State Route 347 and Smith Enke Road • Mesa, at the corner of Baseline Road and Val Vista Drive • Fountain Hills • Flagstaff City Hall
“The president thinks his rule is absolute,” the org
