CORVALLIS, Ore. - A tragic vehicle-pedestrian crash on October 17 is under investigation by the Corvallis Police Department.
Police said the incident occurred around 7:35 p.m. at the intersection of NW Harrison Boulevard and NW 14th Street. A 17-year-old female driving a Toyota RAV4 struck two pedestrians in the crosswalk, according to authorities. One pedestrian, a 20-year-old male, was pronounced dead at the scene. The other, a 20-year-old female, sustained serious injuries and was taken to Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center by the Corvallis Fire Department.
The driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation. The Corvallis Police Department's Crash Investigation Team is working to uncover more details.
