INDIANAPOLIS — If a coach's worst fears are going to be realized on the court, it's probably best they happen during an unofficial game.

That was the scene Friday at Hinkle Fieldhouse, as the 2025-26 Butler basketball team debuted during an exhibition game against Notre Dame in front a lively crowd featuring Butler 's 2010 Final Four team and coach Brad Stevens .
