Srinagar, Oct 18: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha paid obeisance to the sacred relics of Lord Buddha enshrined at the Central Temple, Geden Sheddup Choikorling Monastery, popularly known as The Golden Abode of Buddha Shakyamuni, in Elista, Kalmykia, Russia.
The Lieutenant Governor is leading the Indian delegation to bring back the holy relics following a week-long exposition in Elista. During his interaction with revered monks, the Lieutenant Governor expressed deep appreciation for the warmth and reverence shown by the people of Kalmykia and visitors from across Russia toward the relics of the Buddha.
