Jean-Philippe Mateta says he is ‘very frustrated and upset’ despite scoring a Premier League hat-trick for Crystal Palace on Saturday.

The French striker netted three times as Palace drew 3-3 with AFC Bournemouth at Selhurst Park this weekend.

The Cherries had a two-goal lead thanks to Eli Junior Kroupi before Mateta scored twice in the space of five minutes to level things up.

Ryan Christie thought he’d won it for Bournemouth in the 89th minute only for Mateta to slot home a penalty deep into stoppage time.

Mateta was left gutted, though, after missing a golden chance to give Palace all three points in the 99th minute of the match.
