Hundreds filled the sidewalks of a busy downtown Spartanburg intersection on Oct. 18 to say "no kings" to the Trump administration.

Peaceful protesters carried signs equating recent actions by the White House to authoritarianism in an energetic, peaceful demonstration on North Church Street. Spartanburg is one of several Upstate communities with planned protests as part of a national day of action dubbed "No Kings Day."
