Georgia football has started the same two safeties in every game this season.

That will change for the No. 7 Bulldogs matchup with No. 5 Ole Miss on Saturday Oct. 18.

Redshirt sophomore Kyron Jones is out indefinitely with a foot injury.

So who will start alongside KJ Bolden at safety?

It appears to be JaCorey Thomas who started three games for the Bulldogs in 2024 based on pregame warmups.

Thomas has 13 tackles and has appeared in every game. The senior from Orlando had two pass breakups and seven tackles last season.

Transfers Adrian Maddox from UAB and Zion Branch from USC and are also likely to get more playing time with Jones sidelined. Branch has 8 tackles in four games, Maddox has 3 with a tackle for loss in three games and Harris two tackles in one game.
