Staff are working hard to rebuild a historic roundhouse after it was set on fire earlier this year. Back in July, staff at Flag Fen in Peterborough were left devastated after one of their Iron Age roundhouses was deliberately set on fire.

The roundhouse replica was left completely destroyed. After the fire, volunteers and staff started to raise money to try and rebuild the structure.

In the months since the fire, volunteers have been working hard to rebuild the roundhouse so the site can continue to educate locals about the importance of the Iron and Bronze Ages in Peterborough.

Altogether, the roundhouse will take around nine months to complete, however the rebuild has already started. Roundhouse expert David Freeman is leading the rebuild.
