BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - Communities across the nation rallied Saturday to protest the Trump administration.
Bangor’s Broadway Park was one of many “No Kings” protests held, locally organized by the grassroots group Indivisible Bangor.
“Last time for No Kings 1, there were 20 events throughout the state, and today there are 30 events throughout the state,” explained Melissa Berky, an organizer for Indivisible Bangor, referencing the previous “No Kings” protest. “Also, on the national and international levels, there were about 2,000 to 2,500 events last time, and this time, 3,000 events have been registered. Our movement is becoming wider, deeper, and larger over time.”
