Glasgow boss Cami Brown admitted to being “gutted” as Poole Pirates snatched victory in the Cab Direct Championship Grand Final on Tigers home track.

The Allied Vehicles Tigers beat Poole 51-39 in the final second-leg which tied the final 90-90 on aggregate and the tense match went to an extra heat which Poole won 7-2. This is the first title to be decided by a sudden death Superheat.

Poole pair Zach Cook and Richard Lawson, formerly of Glasgow, defeated Glasgow’s Chris Harris and Kyle Howarth to clinch the league title for the Pirates.

Brown said: “Obviously I’m gutted, the boys gave it everything and nearly snatched it at the end. Congratulations to Poole, they just made the start when it really mattered.”
