ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Community members laced up their sneakers to support Willow Domestic Violence Center on Saturday.
The 'Walk with Willow' event is held to honor October as Domestic Violence Awareness month, honoring survivors and bringing community awareness to local resources and services provided by the Center.
The walk began at 45 Exchange Boulevard with a live DJ, a selfie station for attendees, a hydration station, raffles, Willow merchandise, and more.
Participants were encouraged to wear their best purple outfits, as the color is used to represent Domestic Violence Awareness and survivors.
If you or someone you know is experiencing domestic violence, resources can be found on the Willow Domestic Violence Center website.
