CANFIELD, Ohio (WKBN) -- A local girl is using her annual fundraiser to help the family of Ohio State Highway Patrol Trooper Nick Cayton, who was killed in the line of duty on Thursday.

Kenley's Korner, normally a fundraiser for the Athletix youth softball team and a local church, donated all of its proceeds to Cayton's family.

The fundraiser sold apple cider, bracelets, treats and ornaments. Kenley Rodgers, the 9-year-old who runs the stand, discussed the idea with her parents and said she was thinking about Cayton's family.

"I thought it was really sad and that it would be hard for them," Rogers said.

Roger's softball coach, John Grover, said helping others is what Kenley's Korner is all about.
