COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - Authorities said a man is now facing charges after authorities said a pair of Richland County carjackings led to a deadly crash.

The Richland County Sheriff’s Department said 44-year-old Zee Zelazurro was arrested on Saturday and will be charged with reckless homicide, first-degree assault and discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle. Zelazurro is also facing two counts each of carjacking and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

RCSD said deputies responded to Pine Grove Road and Piney Woods Road just after 12:30 p.m. Saturday after reports of two carjackings and a wreck. Deputies reportedly found Zelazurro inside a wrecked vehicle at the scnee as well as a man who was pronounced dead at the scene.
