CHESHIRE, Conn. — In cities all across the country on Saturday, people organized No Kings Rallies .
The protests rallied against the White House administration of President Donald Trump, who protestors accuse of acting like a monarch instead of like an elected official.
One protest in Cheshire Saturday morning brought out hundreds of people. Folks met at Cheshire's Town Hall at 10 a.m., and kicking off the rally was state Rep. Liz Linehan (D-Cheshire).
"They're telling me that this is a 'Hate America' rally. No! This is a love thy neighbor rally," Linehan said.
Loving your neighbor, and standing up for their rights, is what one group of friends came together for on Saturday.
"I'm afraid of what's happening, and if we don't stand up, then it's 'gonna keep happening," Kristi Hayes sai
