Rain played a big role in the 2025 Women’s World Cup match between Pakistan and New Zealand at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Saturday. The bad weather caused the match to be stopped and made it the fourth time the tournament has been washed out at this venue.

Because of this result, South Africa has secured a place in the semifinals along with Australia. New Zealand’s chances to reach the semis are very low now. They are in fifth place on the points table with four points from five games.
