After beating itself in multiple ways for a second consecutive game, the Tulane football team reached a do-or-die stage late in the fourth quarter against Army on Saturday.

As he has often in the past, quarterback Jake Retzlaff turned it into winning time.

Going 8 for 10 on the final two drives, Retzlaff threw an improvised 8-yard pass to Bryce Bohanon for the tying score on fourth and 8 with 1:54 left and then hit Shazz Preston on a pass that Preston tipped twice before snagging in the end zone for a go-ahead touchdown with 27 seconds left as the Green Wave won 24-17 at Yulman Stadium.

Just like that, a team that looked like it was in trouble when Army capped its second 80-yard touchdown drive in the second half found a way to complete another fourth-quarter comeback.
