BLOOMINGTON, IN — Michigan State football delivered far more effort and showed way more fight than it did a week earlier against UCLA.

Indiana , however, is on a far different level than UCLA. Basketball school, no more.

The third-ranked Hoosiers put together a masterclass of offensive efficiency, with quarterback Fernando Mendoza skewering the Spartans ’ secondary all afternoon en route to a 38-13 loss on Saturday, Oct. 18.

Aidan Chiles, who was questionable after getting knocked out of last week’s humbling 38-13 loss to the Bruins, started his 19th straight game at quarterback and finished 27-for-33 for 243 yards and a touchdown with no interceptions for MSU. He also led the Spartans in rushing with 48 yards.
