Gavin Giroux broke out his crayons for a special cause.
Claude Giroux ’s son created special homemade calendars for the Ottawa Senators 2025-26 season.
On Saturday, the 6-year-old sold 1,000 of his calendars before the Senators game against the New York Islanders at Canadian Tire Centre.
A portion of the proceeds will go to benefit the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario in Ottawa.
The Senators forward stopped by his son’s table to say hello.
In a video posted by the team on social media, Gavin said each calendar page took him 45 minutes to draw. He was proud that the proceeds of his artwork would be going to a good cause.
“I like it because I like helping out other kids,” Gavin said in the video. “It feels good.”
