RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - Millions of people across the nation participated in the “No Kings Protest,” demanding change and expressing their concerns about the Trump administration’s policies.

Richmond was one of many cities where thousands gathered to make their voices heard with a clear message: “They will not be silenced.”

During Saturday’s “No Kings Protest II” in Richmond, thousands of people marched from the State Capitol to Monroe Park.

Signs, applause and relentless chants filled the air as protestors voiced their opposition to various federal actions and policies, including furloughs, censorship, and government funding issues.

“We’ve been led to believe that we are powerless. The truth is not only are we powerful, but as people we are power itself,” stated one demonstrator.
