PHILLIPS, Neb. (KSNB) - First responders were called to a two-vehicle crash on Saturday.
Phillips Fire & Rescue was dispatched to a crash on Highway 34 and Sunset Terrace Road at 4:29 a.m.
According to Phillips Fire & Rescue, two vehicles and four cattle involved. It was reported a herd was crossing the highway and one vehicle hit three cattle, the other hit one cow.
Phillips Fire & Rescue said the four cows died due to the crash.
Both drivers were treated appropriately with the help of Aurora Ambulance, and the owner of the cattle had been notified and was on scene.
All involved cattle are off of the roadway.
Phillips Fire was assisted by Aurora Ambulance and Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.
