LOOP — Chicago-area residents converged on the Loop on Saturday to protest Donald Trump’s administration, in Chicago’s largest entry in the second nationwide No Kings rally.
People draped in the American Flag joined others carrying a massive reproduction of the U.S. Constitution, as sign-carrying demonstrators mingled with those dressed as Santa Claus and in tyrannosaurus rex, axolotl and chicken costumes.
Organizers estimated a crowd of 250,000 people. Chicago police said there were no arrests at the rally at Butler Field in Grant Park or during the subsequent march through the Loop that turned back to Grant Park after taking Wacker Drive to pass Trump Tower on the other side of the Chicago River.
