Mark Scheifele is all alone at the top of the Jets’ history books.
With his goal in the first period against the Predators on Saturday, Scheifele became the Winnipeg Jets 2.0’s all-time points leader with 813.
Scheifele entered Saturday tied at 812 points with former captain Blake Wheeler after notching two goals on Friday.
The Jets 2.0 record includes only the current franchise and the former Atlanta Thrashers franchise. The original Winnipeg Jets were part of the NHL from 1979-1996, before becoming the Arizona Coyotes.
The Thrashers’ inaugural season was in 1997, and lasted until the team became the new Winnipeg Jets in 2011.
Winnipeg made Scheifele the franchise’s first draft pick by selecting the centreman seventh overall in 2011. In 15 seasons, the 32-year-old totalled 342 goals
