LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - On Saturday, thousands of protestors gathered on the Capitol lawn as part of ‘No Kings,’ a rally to speak out against President Donald Trump and his administration.
Brian Jackson, Chairperson of the Ingham County Democratic Party, says demonstrations like this are needed to share their frustrations.
“It’s failing to do something to reduce our health care costs, our food costs, and just not following the constitution, which he pledged to uphold,” Jackson said.
Jackson said that with the number of people expected at the protests, change is possible.
“Yeah, I think when you have an uprising of millions across the country, it definitely changes the dialogue and discussion,” he said.
