Iowa football kicker Drew Stevens set a new Hawkeyes program record with his 68th career field goal on Saturday against Penn State.
Stevens is 68 for 86 during his Iowa career. He set a new Iowa record with a 32-yarder early in the fourth quarter, cutting Penn State's lead to 21-19.
Stevens tied Kaeding with a 39-yard field goal in the first quarter. He later missed an attempt from 46 yards in the first quarter and had a 66-yard attempt blocked at the end of the first half. Penn State returned the blocked kick for a touchdown.
Kaeding, an Iowa City West alum, kicked 67 field goals during his Hawkeye career (2000-03). He graduated in 2004 as Iowa’s all-time scoring leader with 373 points.
Kaeding was a first team All-Big Ten honoree in 2002 and 2003, and earned h
