FARGO — Jacob Sagadin was the hero in the Fargo Force's 3-2 overtime win over Des Moines in USHL play Saturday before 3,033 at Scheels Arena.
Sagadin buried the game-winner two minutes into the overtime period on an assist from Cullen McCrate.
Trailing 2-1, the Buccaneers' Joseph Argentina scored the equalizer at 19:23 in the third period. Theo Kiss put Des Moines on the scoreboard at 16:26 in the third.
Fargo's Bryce Mattern, who played for West Fargo last season, opened the scoring at 12:08 in the first period. The Force made it 2-0 after an unassisted goal at 8:36 in the third period.
Force goaltender Ajay White stopped 24 of 26 shots faced. Max Weilandt made 30 saves for Des Moines.
