The University of Charleston-Frostburg State football matchup was billed as one of the Mountain East Conference games of the year featuring two of the top three teams in the league standings.

It certainly lived up to the billing and hype as the Bobcats earned a 32-30 triple-overtime victory in thrilling and dramatic fashion on the road Saturday afternoon over the Golden Eagles at UC Stadium at Laidley Field.

“I’m extremely proud of this win,” Frostburg State coach Eric Wagoner said. “We lost an overtime thriller last week that we could have won the game at the end. I don’t know if we’ve ever played Charleston and it’s not been a big game.”
