London, Oct 19: Arsenal moved three points clear at the top of the Premier League table after a narrow 1-0 win over Fulham at Craven Cottage on Saturday, with Leandro Trossard’s second-half strike proving decisive.
The Belgian forward netted his first league goal of the season to hand Mikel Arteta’s side their fifth straight victory in all competitions, extending their unbeaten run to eight matches. The win also restored Arsenal to first place after Manchester City’s 2-0 win over Everton had briefly lifted them to the summit earlier in the day.
The Gunners, chasing their first Premier League title since 2004, have now won six of their opening eight league games this season.
