SALT LAKE CITY — The ‘No Kings’ protest took place in Salt Lake City on Saturday, right outside of the Capitol building.

According to event organizers, the protest started at 11 a.m. and people began leaving the event by 1 p.m.

Greg Lovell with the Salt Lake City Police Department said its officers have prepared for the event and is making sure security is a top priority during the protest.

“ We’ve been working closely with event organizers and surrounding agencies to ensure a secure and well-coordinated event for everyone involved,” Lovell said. “We fully support the public’s right to peacefully express their views, and we are committed to protecting that right in a safe and respectful manner.
