Oscar and I are still on a high from our wedding last week, and I’m so thrilled we decided to celebrate in Wilkes-Barre.

We had toyed with the idea of a destination wedding, but feeling the love and warmth of our friends, family, vendors and neighbors in the Wyoming Valley meant the world to us.

Thank you to readers for the sweet emails and social media messages. We read each and every single one filled with gratitude.

The wedding was unrehearsed, except for short dances (which I ended up straying from during the execution, but that’s a story for another time). We wanted the moments – the vows, the entrance, the cake cutting, etc. — to be authentic and natural — and they were.
