The 42nd Meghalaya State Table Tennis Championship came to a come to a close on Saturday with thrilling finals that saw Tanushree Das Gupta and Suranjit Dey crowned the Women’s and Men’s Singles champions, respectively at the Indoor Sports Hall in Tura.

The four-day tournament, hosted for the fifth time by the Tura Table Tennis Association (TTTA) in collaboration with the Meghalaya Table Tennis Association (MTTA), showcased the state’s top talent and provided the platform for National Games selections and the National School Games.

Around 100 players from Nongstoin, Shillong, Jowai, Nongpoh, Tura and Baghmara participated, representing the districts of East Khasi Hills, West Khasi Hills, South Garo Hills and West Garo Hills. The tournament featured singles events under various categories
