Sabrina Carpenter hosted this week's episode of Saturday Night Live . After a delay due to a college football game, the singer finally revealed the inspiration behind the cover of her album, Man's Best Friend .

In her monologue, Carpenter displayed the controversial photo of herself. She explained that everyone misunderstood what the photo was supposed to be. She humorously said that the person grabbing her hair was just Bowen, who was helping her up after Martin Short shoved her while she was standing in a buffet line. She then showed a zoomed out version of the image, where it showed Yang standing next to her, pulling her hair. It also showed Short on the other side of her.
