Raptors sign 25-year old Toronto native to a 2-way contract

The Toronto Raptors made a bunch of cuts in the last week to get their roster trimmed down to its regular season size.

One of those cuts is coming back, though, on a two-way contract.

That'd be A.J. Lawson, a native of Toronto.

The NBA's transaction log Saturday night showed that Lawson has officially signed a two-way deal.

Why the Warriors cut Seth Curry in a waiver move

Lawson is a 25-year old who has played parts of three seasons in the NBA already.

He has already played 26 games for the Raptors, which came at the tail end of last season. In those outings, Lawson averaged 9.1 points and 3.3 rebounds per game.

Before that, Lawson had made NBA appearances for the Dallas Mavericks and Minnesota
