The scandal surrounding Prince Andrew proves the need for the Monarchy to be abolished, a former leader of the Scottish Greens has said. ‌

Patrick Harvie, a long-standing critic of the Royals , claimed the institution was "an antiquated relic from yesteryear, and serves no purpose in the 21st century". ‌
