It seems most of us are raised with a subtle dual mandate of learning how to behave and fit in, while also being encouraged to grow up to make a difference in the world. It takes particular bravery and clarity of purpose to effect change and be a person that others look up to. Bravado, an inflated ego and self-promotion often fall flat.
