The Trump White House has taken its fight to Bluesky, the decentralised social media platform that became a haven for Donald Trump/MAGA critics and the political left after Elon Musk’s takeover of Twitter-now-X.

But its debut went awkwardly awry.

The administration’s first post — a 52-second montage of what it called the president’s “greatest hits” since returning to the Oval Office, featuring some of his mocking online posts and his boasts about making America great again — was met with mockery, equal trolling and demands for the release of the so-called Epstein Files .
