Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff (16) throws a pass during the second half against the Kansas City Chiefs at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5-1) and the Detroit Lions (4-2) meet for Monday Night Football at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET (ABC / ESPN). Let's analyze BetMGM Sportsbook's Buccaneers vs. Lions odds and tab the 5 best prop bets to win among SportsbookWire's expert NFL picks and predictions for Week 6.

The Buccaneers picked up a 30-19 win over the San Francisco 49ers last Sunday as a 3-point favorite as the Over (47.5) cashed, and Tampa Bay has covered the past 2 games, while going Over in 4 consecutive outings. In the win over the Niners, QB Baker Mayfield threw for 256 yards and 2 TDs with 0 INTs, and he had 14 rushing yards. RB Rachaad White filled in for the injured RB Bucky Irving, going for 65 yards and a TD, while RB Sean Tucker had 25 yards and a score. Irving is out again for MNF.

In the passing game, the Buccaneers have had trouble with injuries, as WR Mike Evans (hamstring) and WR Chris Godwin (fibula) missed last week's game. Evans is questionable for Monday, while Godwin has been ruled out. It gave rookie WR Emeka Egbuka (hamstring) a chance to shine as the No. 1 option, but he pulled a hamstring and he is now questionable for Monday's game, too. WR Kameron Johnson, of all people, who has been an afterthought all season, led the way with 4 grabs, 64 yards and a TD.

The Lions are looking to bounce back from a 30-17 road loss against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday Night Football, failing to cover as a 2.5-point underdog as the Under (52.5) cashed. That non-cover halted a 4-game win and cover streak. The Under and Over have alternated in the past 4 outings, and it has split 3-3 in 6 games this season.

Lions QB Jared Goff threw for 203 yards and 2 TDs in Kansas City, while RB Jahmyr Gibbs ran for 65 yards in 17 carries, with RB David Montgomery adding 24 yards on 4 totes. WR Jameson Williams stepped up with 66 yards and a TD, while TE Sam LaPorta had 5 grabs for 55 yards and a score. WR Amon-Ra St. Brown had 9 receptions on 10 targets, but just 45 yards. He looks to bounce back here.

For the Lions, S Kerby Joseph (knee) is out, as are CBs Terrion Arnold (shoulder) and CB Avonte Maddox (hamstring). CB Brian Branch is also suspended for his actions for an on-field fracas at the end of the loss to the Chiefs.

Buccaneers QB Baker Mayfield OVER 240.5 PASSING YARDS (-140)

This pick is contingent on Egbuka and/or Evans being able to play. If one or both are active, then it's full steam ahead.

Mayfield and the Tampa Bay passing offense will have the luxury of facing a Detroit secondary missing Arnold, Joseph and Maddox due to injury, as well as Branch due to suspension. The Lions will likely have DBs Thomas Harper, Arthur Maulet, Amik Robertson and Rock Ya-Sin as replacements in the secondary. Mayfield could be able to pick on that group, but he needs NFL-caliber receivers, so double-check the inactives 90 minutes before finalizing your wagers.

  • BUCCANEERS AT LIONS: Odds, picks and predictions

Buccaneers RB Rachaad White OVER 74.5 RUSHING/RECEIVING YARDS (-110)

White will be in the starting lineup again, shouldering the load with Irving already ruled out.

White did an adequate job with 65 rushing yards and a TD last week against the Lions, and he has had at least 3 receptions and at least 21 receiving yards in each of the past 3 outings. He is averaging 26.7 receiving yards in that 3-game span. With the Bucs banged up, White could see a larger role in the passing game, especially if Egbuka and/or Evans are inactive.

Lions QB Jared Goff Longest Pass Completion OVER 35.5 YARDS (-120)

The Buccaneers rank 20th in the NFL with 231.3 passing yards allowed per game. In addition, the Bucs have allowed 21 passing plays of 20 or more yards this season. The Bucs allowed 7.6 yards per pass, too, which ranks in the bottom half of the league.

This is just the third home game for Goff and the Lions. Their longest pass play of the season came in a game at Ford Field in Week 2, a 64-yard hook-up between Goff and WR Jameson Williams. Those 2 also had a 44-yard TD against the Bears. He has 3 pass plays of 39 or more yards this season.

WR Amon-Ra St. Brown OVER 6.5 RECEPTIONS (-165)

Here's the deal, let's keep it simple. St. Brown has 7 or more receptions in each of the past 5 games. The Bucs are in the bottom third in the league against the pass, so St. Brown should get to 7 grabs again. Short, and sweet.

Buccaneers PK Chase McLaughlin OVER 5.5 POINTS (-150)

If you're read each of my props pieces this season, you know the last pick is always a kicker.

McLaughlin is a slam-dunk play, even though the price is a little on the steep side. Again, like above with St. Brown, we'll keep it short and sweet. McLaughlin has 6 or more points in each of his past 4 games, averaging 11.5 points in the span, while going 12-of-14 on field goals, and 10-of-10 on point-after attempts.
