( InvestigateTV ) — Intimate partner violence impacts families, friends and likely someone you know.

More than 61 million women and 53 million men have experienced intimate partner violence in their lifetime, according to the CDC. The agency says it’s important to discuss signs of abusive relationships with pre-teens and teens because that’s when many people first encounter intimate partner violence.

Michelle Gonzalez was 21 when she was killed by her boyfriend on February 26, 2025.

Lincoln, Nebraska, police say Ibrahim Alhamadani hit Michelle with his car, chased her down, and shot her several times before turning the gun on himself.
