Man named and charged after copper gas pipe theft View Image

A man from Bristol has been named and charged after gas pipes were stolen in the city.

Ionica Constantin, from Fishponds, appeared at Bristol Magistrates' Court on Monday, October 13, facing charges.

The 43-year-old was charged with five counts of theft and five counts of criminal damage.

He was released on court bail and is due to appear at Bristol Magistrates' Court on Monday, November 17.

The charges come after police investigated a theft of gas pipes from buildings in East Bristol.
