Millions of Americans, including Hoosiers throughout the state, participated in the "No Kings" demonstrations on Saturday, Oct. 18. The rallies were to protest actions of the Trump administration as well as the U.S. Customs and Immigration Enforcement.
A rally in Bedford was one of the many in Indiana, including in Indianapolis, Bloomington, Evansville, Fort Wayne, Muncie and South Bend.
The Bedford rally had about 250 participants.
The main group lined 16th Street on the south side of the Lawrence County Courthouse Square.
A smaller group gathered near the McDonald's farther out on 16th Street at the same time.
The Bedford rally was from noon to 2 p.m. Oct. 18.
The protesters packed the sidewalks in the downtown area during the two-hour event.
