Acting out: A city resident is facing multiple charges after she allegedly tried to outrun police in the 200 block of North Seventh Street, Thursday. Police said Samantha Cremeans, 832 South St., was charged with possession of drugs, tampering with evidence and escape, all felonies, after a foot chase, during which they reported seeing her allegedly toss items over a fence running parallel to Washington Street. Police said they subsequently recovered a lighter and a “small, white rock-like substance” believed to be cocaine and said Cremeans told them she’d “swallowed a bag of heroin” and “began to flail her body as if she was overdosing to “(make) officers believe she was going unconscious” so they retrieved Narcan and began to perform sternum rubs.
