FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Rain finally returned to the area this past weekend, where most of the area received 0.5″ of 1″ of rainfall which is definitely a nice start to helping improve drought conditions. Along with the rain, winds have stayed gusty since the cold front passed on Saturday with max wind gusts hitting 40mph and expected to remain breezy through midweek.

A few more rain showers are set to arrive tomorrow with a weaker cold front tomorrow. There will be some dry time between the first rain chance in the morning, and the second chance for rain tomorrow afternoon. We do not expect this to bring a lot of rain to the area, and most of the lingering lake effect showers will stay to our north Wednesday.
