(CAROLINA SPORTS LIVE) -- Panthers quarterback Bryce Young is expected to miss Sunday's matchup against the Bills due to a high-ankle sprain, according to NFL Media’s Tom Pelissero.

Young exited the team's win over the Jets and was replaced by veteran Andy Dalton, who is now likely to start in Week 8. The timeline for Young’s recovery remains uncertain, though similar injuries typically sideline players for 2 to 4 weeks.

So far this season, Young has thrown for 1,288 yards, 11 touchdowns, and five interceptions, adding a rushing score as well. Dalton completed 4-of-7 passes for 60 yards in relief on Sunday.
